Tutoring Angels seeks church members who value education and want to make a difference in their community by serving as after school tutors for African-American children in grades K thru 6. The program asks for a commitment of one hour a week. Become a Tutoring Angel and volunteer at the after-school program at Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. The program meets Monday – Thursday (4 – 6 pm) and seeks tutors to enrich the lives of children whose reading and academic success are at risk. Volunteers come once a week for an hour.
