At Pass-A-Grille Beach, United Church of Christ, we work hard at being a community of faith where everyone, regardless of background, race, sexual orientation, economic status, or faith tradition is loved, cared for, and respected. Our goal is to eliminate those barriers that separate people from each other and God; trusting in the grace and love of Christ. Our hope is to provide a place where people can safely share and honestly explore how faith is relevant for their lives and our world.
A core value of Pass-A-Grille Beach UCC, is to assist in the discernment of your faith through worship, study, and hands on opportunities for service. You are as likely to find our people in Haiti, Puerto Rico, or Turkey helping refugees and disaster victims, as you are at a homeless shelter in Pinellas County. Our youth have constructed churches in the Amazon and our adults homes, following Hurricane Katrina, in New Orleans.
Along with caring for others, we are committed to sustaining the world God has shared with us. This entails protecting and preserving creation and speaking truth to power, when systems of injustice and situations of abuse must be confronted. We are a congregation that always takes the Bible seriously, if not literally. It is our guide for faithful living as individuals and as a church.
So, whether it is through worship, study, or prayer, we hope to assist everyone who walks through our doors, to achieve meaning and purpose in their life; be filled with joy and self-worth, as a beloved child of God.
Whoever you are, or wherever you are on the journey of life, you are welcome at Pass-A-Grille Beach, United Church of Christ.
