Dr. Michael Price was born and raised in New Martinsville, West Virginia, but now calls Largo, Florida, home.  He holds degrees from West Liberty University (WV), West Virginia University, Texas Christian University, and George Washington University.  Dr. Price retired from full-time ministry in 2020 after serving churches in Louisiana, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.  In addition, Dr. Price has taught Old and New Testament, American History, World Religions, and Geography at the University of Mt. Olive (NC) and North Carolina Wesleyan University.

He is the author of several books, including How to Manage Money Like a Minister (2009), Murder on the Disoriented Express: How Laity May Be Killing Their Congregation (2019 ), Backfill: How the Later Gospel Writers Transformed the Historical Jesus into the Risen Christ (2020), The Year that Was, which chronicles his baseball playing days in college (2021), and 17 Days That Changed America: How the Silver Bridge Collapse Made Life Safer for All of Us (2022).  He anticipates the release of a sixth book in the late fall.

Dr. Price and his wife, Betty, have been married for 15 years.  Between them, they have four grown children, four granddaughters, and a grandson.
